AN ACT

To amend chapter 393, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to service rates for electrical corporations.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 393, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 393.131, to read as follows:

            393.131. 1. This section shall be known and may be cited as the "Ratepayer Fairness Act".

            2. An aluminum smelting facility, as defined in section 91.026, may keep any special rate at the ratepayer class. However, if such facility no longer employs two hundred employees, a rebate shall be paid to residential ratepayers served by the electrical corporation. Such rebate shall be the difference between the ratepayers' rate and the next lowest rate.
