AN ACT
To amend chapter 170, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the use of religious books in public schools.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 170, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 170.340, to read as follows:
170.340. Books of a religious nature may be used in the classroom as part of instruction in elective courses in literature and history, so long as such books are not used in a manner so as to violate the establishment clause of the United States Constitution.
