AN ACT

To amend chapter 376, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to insurance reimbursement for physical therapist services.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 376, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 376.1231, to read as follows:

            376.1231. Reimbursement amounts and copays paid by health carriers for any particular health care service or procedure rendered by a physical therapist within the scope of practice, as defined in chapter 334, shall be in the same amounts as reimbursements paid by health carriers to any other licensed physical therapist performing the same or similar procedures. Such uniform reimbursement requirement shall apply regardless of the setting or venue in which the applicable health care services or procedures are rendered.
