AN ACT
To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to motor fuel prices.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.507, to read as follows:
407.507. 1. A wholesaler of motor fuel, including, but not limited to gasoline, biofuel, and E-85, shall notify a retailer of any increase of three cents or more in the price of a gallon of motor fuel at least twenty-four hours in advance of the increase becoming effective. Such wholesaler shall provide at no cost to the retailer a means of notifying the general public of such increase twenty-four hours in advance.
2. The retailer shall notify the general public of any increase of three cents or more in the price of a gallon of motor fuel, including, but not limited to gasoline, biofuel, and E-85, by posting such increase in a location visible to the general public from at least one adjacent public roadway for twenty-four hours prior to the increase becoming effective.
