1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Zachary Balken of St. Michael, Minnesota, for earning the rank of Eagle
1.3Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Zachary Balken is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed
1.9the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Zachary has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills and has completed a
1.11community service project, which involved building picnic tables for Fieldstone Elementary School,
1.12and fulfilled all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.13WHEREAS, Zachary graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School with the class of
1.142020 and is currently pursuing a career in zoology or wildlife management; and
1.15WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17congratulates Zachary Balken of St. Michael, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.19copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.20Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Zachary Balken.
