1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Owen Cary of St. Michael, Minnesota, for earning the rank
1.3of Eagle Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Owen Cary is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed the
1.9attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Owen has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills, completed a community
1.11service project, which involved leading a team that built benches and a planter for the STMA
1.12Women of Today to place around the community, and fulfilled all other requirements necessary to
1.13attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.14WHEREAS, Owen is a junior at St. Michael-Albertville High School and plans to attend
1.15college to study engineering. He is also involved in band and hopes to continue his participation
1.16in music; and
1.17WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.18NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.19congratulates Owen Cary of St. Michael, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.20BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.21copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.22Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Owen Cary.
