1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating James Arthur Kesler for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America;
1.4and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that
1.6is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, James Arthur Kesler is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 312 and
1.8has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.10service project, which involved constructing pathways out from the stone circle around the flagpole
1.11at VFW Post 1901 on the east side of Montrose on Highway 12, which means that the Post is now
1.12connected to the flagpole by a solid cement walkway; and
1.13WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the
1.14Montrose Community Center; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.16congratulates James Arthur Kesler for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.18copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.19Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to James Arthur Kesler.
