1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing Special Agent in Charge Ralph S. Boelter.
1.3WHEREAS, Ralph Boelter served in the United States Marine Corps and as a Sergeant in
1.4the San Diego Police Department; and
1.5WHEREAS, Ralph Boelter was appointed Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's
1.6Minneapolis Division on January 22, 2007; and
1.7WHEREAS, the FBI's Minneapolis Division serves Minnesota, North Dakota, and South
1.8Dakota as well as 14 FBI satellite offices; and
1.9WHEREAS, Special Agent in Charge Boelter has contributed greatly to the security of
1.10Minnesota through his work and oversight on counterterrorism throughout Minnesota; and
1.11WHEREAS, Special Agent in Charge Boelter has also contributed greatly to strengthening
1.12community partnership specifically the Twin Cities Security Partnership, one of the best examples
1.13of community policing in the county; and
1.14WHEREAS, Special Agent in Charge Boelter will be leaving his position to become
1.15deputy assistant director for counterterrorism at the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C.
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.17it commends Special Agent in Charge Ralph S. Boelter for his outstanding service and wishes
1.18him well in the future.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.20an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.21the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Special Agent
1.22in Charge Ralph S. Boelter.
