1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Jen Peterson on her eight years of outstanding service on the Cottage
1.3Grove City Council.
1.4WHEREAS, those civic-minded individuals who work tirelessly in their communities perform
1.5an important service deserving of special legislative recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Jen, has been a tireless advocate on housing issues, and is proud of the work
1.7the City Council did related to affordable housing, including the first Habitat for Humanity and the
1.8Legends of Cottage Grove for seniors; and
1.9WHEREAS, over the past eight years of Jen's service, Cottage Grove saw many changes
1.10including the expansion of the business park, new housing developments bringing more residents
1.11to the city, many road improvements, and the completion of a new City Hall/Public Safety facility
1.12on time and under budget; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Jen Peterson on her eight years of outstanding service on the Cottage Grove City
1.15Council, and wishes her well in her future plans.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Jen Peterson.
