1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce on being named
1.3Outstanding Chamber of Commerce.
1.4WHEREAS, the Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award is given by the Minnesota
1.5Chamber of Commerce Executives in recognition of excellence in leadership and governance,
1.6finance, advocacy, innovation, and membership development; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce was chosen for its work in
1.8developing relationships with diverse business groups, increasing its membership, and for a
1.9bundle-up membership plan that the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Executives considered
1.10innovative and responsive to the members' needs; and
1.11WHEREAS, the award will be presented at a luncheon on Thrusday, February 23, 2012, at
1.12the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Meeting; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.14it congratulates the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce on being named Outstanding
1.15Chamber of Commerce and wishes them well in the future.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.17an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.18the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the Willmar
1.19Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
