1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Maverick James Gilson of Montrose, Minnesota, for earning the rank
1.3of Eagle Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Maverick James Gilson is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 312
1.9and has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Maverick has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills and has completed
1.11a community service project, which involved building a circular paver patio with a fire pit to serve
1.12as an outdoor meeting and entertainment space for Buffalo United Methodist Church, and fulfilled
1.13all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout on June 2, 2021; and
1.14WHEREAS, Maverick is a baptized and confirmed lifelong member of Buffalo United
1.15Methodist Church and completed this project in November 2020 in the midst of the pandemic; and
1.16WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on May 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the
1.17Community Center in Montrose; and
1.18NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.19congratulates Maverick James Gilson of Montrose, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.20BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.21copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.22Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Maverick James Gilson.
