1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to transportation capital improvements; authorizing spending to acquire
1.3and better public land and buildings for trunk highway purposes; authorizing the
1.4sale and issuance of trunk highway bonds; appropriating money.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.7TRUNK HIGHWAY FUND APPROPRIATIONS

Section 1. TRUNK HIGHWAY
APPROPRIATION

Subdivision 1.Appropriation for
Transportation
1.12This appropriation is to the commissioner of
1.13transportation for the purposes specified in
1.14this section.
1.15Unless otherwise specified, this appropriation
1.16is for fiscal year 2013 from the trunk highway
1.17fund and is available until expended.

Subd. 2.Willmar District Headquarters

1.19To design, construct, furnish, and equip a
1.20maintenance facility addition to the existing
1.21Willmar district headquarters building,
1.22and corresponding remodeling of the
1.23headquarters building.

Subd. 3.Plymouth Truck Station

2.2To construct and equip a new truck station
2.3and bridge crew building in Plymouth.

Subd. 4.Cambridge Truck Station

2.5To design, construct, furnish, and equip a new

2.19    Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
2.20This article is effective the day following final enactment.

2.21ARTICLE 2
2.22TRUNK HIGHWAY BONDS

2.23    Section 1. ROCHESTER MAINTENANCE FACILITY.
2.24$16,100,000 is appropriated to the commissioner of transportation to design,
2.25construct, furnish, and equip the maintenance facility in Rochester and corresponding
2.26remodeling of the existing district headquarters building. This appropriation is from the
2.27bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund.

2.28    Sec. 2. BOND SALE EXPENSES.
2.29$15,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund
2.30to the commissioner of management and budget for bond sale expenses under Minnesota
2.31Statutes, section 167.50, subdivision 4.

3.1    Sec. 3. TRUNK HIGHWAY FUND BOND PROCEEDS ACCOUNT.
3.2To provide the money appropriated in this article from the bond proceeds account
3.3in the trunk highway fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and
3.4issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $16,115,000 in the manner, upon the terms,
3.5and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 167.50 to 167.52, and
3.6by the Minnesota Constitution, article XIV, section 11, at the times and in the amounts
3.7requested by the commissioner of transportation. The proceeds of the bonds, except
3.8accrued interest and any premium received from the sale of the bonds, must be credited
3.9to the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund.

3.10    Sec. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
3.11This article is effective the day following final enactment.
