1.2relating to natural resources; requiring rulemaking to allow mechanical control
1.3of narrow-leaved cattail without an aquatic plant management permit.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. NARROW-LEAVED CATTAIL CONTROL; RULEMAKING.
1.6The commissioner of natural resources shall amend Minnesota Rules, part
1.76280.0250, subpart 1, item E, to allow mechanical control of narrow-leaved cattail (Typha
1.8angustifolia) without an aquatic plant management permit. The commissioner may use the
1.9good cause exemption under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388, subdivision 1, clause
1.10(3), to adopt the rule under this section, and Minnesota Statutes, section 14.386, does not
1.11apply except as provided under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388.
