1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for higher education asset
1.3preservation and repair (HEAPR); authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. ST. CLOUD STATE UNIVERSITY; ST. CLOUD TECHNICAL AND
1.6COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $11,799,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for the
1.9purposes specified in Minnesota Statutes, section 135A.046. Of this appropriation:
1.10(1) $8,977,000 is for replacement of brick veneer and roof replacement at Stewart
1.11Hall, and replacement of mechanical systems at other campus buildings on the St. Cloud
1.12State University campus; and
1.13(2) $2,822,000 is for building envelope integrity and replacement of mechanical
1.14systems at campus buildings, and replacement of the central boiler plant on the St. Cloud
1.15Technical and Community College campus.
1.16 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.17bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.18bonds of the state in an amount up to $11,799,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.19the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.20Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.21EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
