1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; extending the availability of the appropriation for
1.3the Chester Woods State Trail; amending Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 7,
1.4subdivision 27, as amended.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 7, subdivision 27, as amended by Laws
1.72010, chapter 189, section 56, and Laws 2010, chapter 399, section 4, is amended to read:

Subd. 27.State Trail Acquisition,
Rehabilitation, and Development
15,320,000
1.10To acquire land for and to construct and
1.11renovate state trails under Minnesota
1.12Statutes, section 85.015.
1.13$970,000 is for the Chester Woods Trail
1.14from Rochester to Dover. Notwithstanding
1.15Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642, the
1.16bond authorization and appropriation of bond
1.17proceeds for this project are available until
1.18June 30, 2016.
1.19$700,000 is for the Casey Jones Trail.
1.20$750,000 is for the Gateway Trail, to replace
1.21an at-grade crossing of the Gateway Trail
1.22at Highway 120 with a grade-separated
1.23crossing.
2.1$1,600,000 is for the Gitchi-Gami Trail
2.2between Silver Bay and Tettegouche State
2.3Park.
2.4$1,500,000 is for the Great River Ridge Trail
2.5from Plainview to Elgin to Eyota.
2.6$1,500,000 is for the Heartland Trail.
2.7$500,000 is for the Mill Towns Trail from
2.8Lake Byllesby Park to Cannon Falls.
2.9$150,000 is for the Mill Towns Trail within
2.10the city of Faribault.
2.11$1,500,000 is for the Minnesota River Trail
2.12from Appleton to Milan and to the Marsh
2.13Lake Dam.
2.14$2,000,000 is for the Paul Bunyan Trail from
2.15Walker to Guthrie.
2.16$250,000 is for the Root River Trail from
2.17Preston to Forestville State Park.
2.18$100,000 is for the Root River Trail, the
2.19eastern extension.
2.20$250,000 is for the Root River Trail, the
2.21eastern extension Wagon Wheel.
2.22$550,000 is to connect the Stagecoach Trail
2.23with the Douglas Trail in Olmsted County.
2.24$3,000,000 is to rehabilitate state trails.
2.25For any project listed in this subdivision that
2.26the commissioner determines is not ready to
2.27proceed, the commissioner may allocate that
2.28project's money to another state trail project
2.29in this subdivision. The chairs of the house
2.30and senate committees with jurisdiction
2.31over environment and natural resources
2.32and legislators from the affected legislative
2.33districts must be notified of any changes.
3.1EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
