1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to education; increasing state aid for the school breakfast program;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.1158, subdivisions 3, 4.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.1158, subdivision 3, is amended to
1.6read:
1.7    Subd. 3. Program reimbursement. Each school year, the state must reimburse
1.8each participating school 30 cents for each reduced-price breakfast and 55 cents $1.30 for
1.9each fully paid breakfast.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for revenue beginning in fiscal year
1.112015.

1.12    Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.1158, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
1.13    Subd. 4. No fees. A school that receives school breakfast aid under this section
1.14must make breakfast available without charge to all participating students who qualify
1.15for free or reduced price meals.
1.16EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for revenue beginning in fiscal year
1.172015.
