1.2relating to transportation; providing for use of certain funds for Paynesville

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PAYNESVILLE AIRPORT.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding any law, rule, or agreement to the contrary, the commissioner of
1.7transportation may enter into an agreement with the city of Paynesville to allow funds
1.8granted by the state to the city for land acquisition purposes for the marked Trunk
1.9Highway 23 bypass project to instead be used by June 30, 2015, as the state's share of
1.10funds for airport improvements and other aeronautical purposes at the city's airport.
1.11(b) Funds not spent pursuant to paragraph (a) by June 30, 2015, must be paid to the
1.12commissioner of transportation and deposited in the state airports fund.
