1.2relating to local government; providing for terms for members of the Red Wing
1.3Port Authority;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 469.081, by adding a
1.4subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 469.081, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 3a. Terms of members. Notwithstanding the enabling resolution or any law
1.9to the contrary, for appointees to the Red Wing Port Authority whose terms expire after
1.10December 31, 2010, the terms of subsequent appointees to serve on the port authority
1.11is three years.
1.12 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.
1.13Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of the city of Red Wing and
1.14its chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions
1.152 and 3, and applies retroactively from January 1, 2011.
