1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for local roads in Blaine;
1.3authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. ROAD PROJECTS; APPROPRIATION AND BOND SALE
1.6AUTHORIZATION.
1.7    Subdivision 1. Appropriation. (a) $170,000 is appropriated from the bond
1.8proceeds fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the city of Blaine for
1.9reconstruction or maintenance of Davenport Street in Blaine. This amount represents the
1.10National Sports Center share of costs for the project.
1.11(b) $42,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of
1.12transportation for a grant to Anoka County for environmental assessment, preliminary
1.13engineering, and design for reconstruction or maintenance of Anoka County Road 87,
1.14known as 105th Avenue, in Blaine. This amount represents the city share of costs for
1.15the project.
1.16    Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in subdivision 1 from the
1.17bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.18bonds of the state in an amount up to $212,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.19the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.20Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.21EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
