1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to higher education; changing eligibility for the senior citizen higher
1.3education program;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 135A.51,
1.4subdivision 2.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 135A.51, subdivision 2, is amended to
1.7read:
1.8    Subd. 2. Senior citizen. "Senior citizen" means a person who has reached 66 62
1.9 years of age before the beginning of any term, semester or quarter, in which a course of
1.10study is pursued, or a person receiving a railroad retirement annuity who has reached 60
1.11years of age before the beginning of the term.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day after final enactment for
1.13terms beginning after July 1, 2011.
