1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [160.2751] CONTINGENT APPROPRIATION TO FUND ONGOING
1.7OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.
1.8If, before July 1 of an odd-numbered year, legislation is not enacted to appropriate
1.9money to the commissioner of transportation for state roads operations and maintenance
1.10in the next fiscal year, an amount equal to the expenditures in the previous fiscal year
1.11for operation and maintenance of the state highway rest area system is appropriated
1.12from the trunk highway fund to the commissioner of transportation for operation and
1.13maintenance of state highway safety rest areas, including costs of employees needed to
1.14carry out these functions. The commissioner of management and budget shall ensure that
1.15the commissioner of transportation is able to access money under this appropriation.
