1.2relating to state lands; providing for the public sale of certain tax-forfeited lands
1.3bordering public waters in Lake County.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATERS; LAKE COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
1.8Lake County may sell the tax-forfeited lands bordering public waters that are described in
1.9paragraph (c).
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.11attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
1.12and ensure accuracy.
1.13(c) The land to be sold is in Lake County and is described as:
1.14(1) Government Lot 16, Section 19, Township 61 North, Range 11 West; and
1.15(2) Government Lot 2, Government Lot 3, and the Southeast Quarter of the
1.16Northwest Quarter, all in Section 36, Township 60 North, Range 7 West.
1.17(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would be
1.18best served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
