1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of certain tax-forfeited land.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.4    Section 1. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; MORRISON
1.5COUNTY.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282,
1.7or other law to the contrary, Morrison County may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited
1.8land described in paragraph (c).
1.9(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.10general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.11Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 282.01, subdivision 4, the Morrison County
1.12Board may determine the sale price after negotiations with the city of Motley.
1.13(c) The land to be sold is located in Morrison County and is described as:
1.14Government Lot 20, Section 18, Township 133 North, Range 31 West, Morrison County,
1.15less that part described as follows: beginning at the southwest corner of said Section 18;
1.16thence North 0 degrees 01 minute 24 seconds East along the west line of said Section 18 a
1.17distance of 180.00 feet; thence South 89 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds East a distance
1.18of 450.00 feet; thence South 0 degrees 01 minute 24 seconds West a distance of 147.00
1.19feet; thence South 89 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 776.83 feet to
1.20the westerly right-of-way of State Highway 10; thence southerly along said westerly
1.21right-of-way line a distance of 14.61 feet along a nontangential curve concave to the East,
1.22having a radius of 5,789.58 feet and a central angle of 0 degrees 08 minutes 41 seconds,
1.23the chord of said curve bears South 0 degrees 14 minutes 53 seconds West; thence South 0
1.24degrees 10 minutes 32 seconds West along said westerly right-of-way line a distance of
2.118.39 feet to the south line of said Section 18; thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 30
2.2seconds West along the southerly line of said Section 18 a distance of 1,226.72 feet to
2.3the point of beginning (parcel 410029000).
2.4(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
2.5best be served if the land was sold.
