1.2relating to disaster assistance; appropriating money to match federal disaster aid
1.3for the April 2013 severe winter storm in southwest Minnesota.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; DISASTER AID.
1.6$1,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2014 to the
1.7commissioner of public safety for the purposes specified in Minnesota Statutes, section
1.812A.15, subdivision 1, to match federal disaster assistance for the severe winter storm that
1.9occurred April 9, 2013, through April 11, 2013, in the area designated under Presidential
1.10Declaration of a Major Disaster FEMA-4113-DR. This appropriation is available for
1.11expenditure the day following final enactment. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes,
1.12section 16A.28, this appropriation is available until June 30, 2016.
1.13EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
