1.2relating to state lands; authorizing exchange of tax-forfeited land bordering
1.3public waters.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. EXCHANGE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATERS; WINONA COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 92.45; 94.342, subdivision 3;
1.8282.018, subdivision 1; or other law to the contrary, Winona County may exchange the
1.9tax-forfeited land bordering public waters that is described in paragraph (c) under the
1.10provisions of Minnesota Statutes, section 94.344.
1.11(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.12attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
1.13and ensure accuracy.
1.14(c) The land that may be exchanged is located in Winona County and is described as:
1.15Lot 5, Section 16, Township 107 North, Range 9 West, containing ten acres, more or less.
1.16(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
1.17best be served if the land was exchanged for a private parcel.
1.3public waters.
