1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to public safety; drivers' licenses; extending the diversion pilot program;
1.3amending Laws 2009, chapter 59, article 3, section 4, subdivision 9, as amended.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. Laws 2009, chapter 59, article 3, section 4, subdivision 9, as amended by
1.6Laws 2010, chapter 197, section 1, and Laws 2011, chapter 87, section 1, subdivision 9,
1.7is amended to read:
1.8    Subd. 9. Sunset. A city or county participating in this pilot program may accept an
1.9individual for diversion into the pilot program until June 30, 2013 2017. The third party
1.10administering the diversion program may collect and disburse fees collected pursuant to
1.11subdivision 6, paragraph (a), clause (2), through December 31, 2014 2018, at which time
1.12the pilot program under this section expires.
1.13EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
