A bill to amend 2016 PA 436, entitled
"Unmanned aircraft systems act,"
(MCL 259.301 to 259.331) by adding section 20.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 20. (1) For purposes of the penal law of this state, an
unmanned aircraft system is an extension of the individual who is
operating the unmanned aircraft system.
(2) In a prosecution for a violation of a penal law of this
state, it is not a defense that a person used an unmanned aircraft
system to carry out the violation.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
