A bill to recognize the month of April of each year as
Sarcoidosis Awareness Month.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1. Recognizing the need for a greater understanding of
the causes and nature of the chronic, multisystem disease known as
sarcoidosis, a deepened appreciation for the courage and
determination demonstrated by the victims of sarcoidosis and their
family members, a greater acknowledgment of the important efforts
of other concerned Americans engaged in promoting better treatment
and support for those afflicted by the disease, and a wider
recognition of the research efforts of concerned physicians,
scientists, and researchers in this state and throughout the nation
as they work toward a cure, the month of April of each year shall
be known as "Sarcoidosis Awareness Month" in Michigan.
Enacting section 1. This act takes effect 90 days after the
date it is enacted into law.
