SENATE BILL No. 728

 

 

October 5, 2011, Introduced by Senators BOOHER, PAPPAGEORGE and JONES and referred to the Committee on Judiciary.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1911 PA 41, entitled

 

"An act authorizing prosecuting attorneys in certain cases to

appoint assistant prosecuting attorneys for their respective

counties, and prescribing the powers and duties of such

assistants,"

 

by amending section 1 (MCL 49.41).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. The prosecuting attorney of any county is hereby

 

authorized and empowered to appoint an assistant prosecuting

 

attorney. , by and with the consent of the circuit judge of the

 

judicial circuit in which such county may be situated, which The

 

appointment shall be in writing and filed with the clerk of his or

 

her county.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No. 727                                   

 

          of the 96th Legislature is enacted into law.
