HOUSE SUBSTITUTE FOR
SENATE BILL NO. 554
A bill to amend 1972 PA 284, entitled
"Business corporation act,"
by amending section 913 (MCL 450.1913), as amended by 1989 PA 121.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 913. The county clerk may destroy the copies of the
corporate
documents of a domestic or foreign corporation which that
were
forwarded to his or her office in accordance with Act No. 327
of
the Public Acts of 1931, as amended, being sections 450.62 to
450.192
of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and 1931
PA 327, MCL 450.98
to 450.192, a former provision of 1931 PA 327, or its predecessor
act. The clerk may destroy or dispose of these records in
accordance
with section 5 of Act No. 271 of the Public Acts of
1913,
as amended, being section 399.5 of the Michigan Compiled
Laws.section 11 of the Michigan history center act,
2016 PA 470,
MCL 399.811.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No. 564 of the 99th Legislature is enacted into
law.
