SENATE BILL No. 260

 

 

February 18, 2009, Introduced by Senators KAHN, PAPPAGEORGE, JANSEN, HARDIMAN, GILBERT, CROPSEY, RICHARDVILLE and BIRKHOLZ and referred to the Committee on Families and Human Services.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1975 PA 238, entitled

 

"Child protection law,"

 

(MCL 722.621 to 722.638) by adding section 7l.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 7l. In addition to specified information allowed under

 

sections 7c to 7i, the department shall allow a court that has

 

jurisdiction under section 2(b) of chapter XIIA of the probate code

 

of 1939, 1939 PA 288, MCL 712A.2, over a child who dies access to

 

all information the department has pertaining to that child.
