A bill to amend 2011 PA 153, entitled
"An act to provide firefighter training programs to certain
individuals; and to provide for certain firefighter examinations,"
by amending section 2 (MCL 29.332).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 2. (1) An organized fire department administering a
firefighter I or II course and an examination under the
firefighters training council act, 1966 PA 291, MCL 29.361 to
29.377, may establish a boy scouts of America or a girl scouts of
America explorer post within its department for the purpose of
firefighter training for individuals who are 16 years of age or
older.
(2) A school district may affiliate with an organized fire
department for the purpose of allowing individuals 16 years of age
or older to participate in the firefighter I or II course and the
examination.
