A bill to amend 1987 PA 96, entitled

"The mobile home commission act,"

(MCL 125.2301 to 125.2350) by adding section 28d.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 28d. An owner or operator of a mobile home park that intends to increase the rental charge for a mobile home site or sites shall provide to the mobile home commission and the affected resident or residents a written justification for the increase not less than 6 months before the increase is intended to take effect. The mobile home commission shall review the proposed increase and determine whether to approve the increase. An owner or operator shall not increase the rental charge of a mobile home site unless the commission approves that increase.
