HOUSE BILL No. 5212

A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding sections 483c and 957b.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 483c. If an individual receives compensation to circulate
a petition described in section 482, then the individual shall,
when circulating the petition for signatures, wear an
identification badge that does both of the following:
(a) Identifies the individual as a paid petition circulator.
(b) Identifies the person or entity paying the circulator.
Sec. 957b. If an individual receives compensation to circulate
a recall petition under this chapter, then the individual shall,
when circulating the recall petition for signatures, wear an
identification badge that does both of the following:
(a) Identifies the individual as a paid petition circulator.
(b) Identifies the person or entity paying the circulator.
