HOUSE BILL No. 4768

     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 5497.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 5497. On or before January 1, 2013, and every 2 years

 

thereafter, the department, in consultation with the department of

 

environmental quality, shall submit a report to the legislature

 

about progress in identifying chemicals of concern and chemicals of

 

highest concern. The department shall include in the report a

 

detailed plan to inform consumers of chemicals of highest concern

 

as well as a plan to protect Michigan's children from chemicals of

 

concern.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect


 

unless all of the following bills of the 95th Legislature are

 

enacted into law:
