A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 736h.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 736h. (1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this act
to the contrary and subject to subsection (2), an elector may use a
camera, including, but not limited to, a cellular telephone camera,
in a polling place to take a photograph of himself or herself.
(2) Subsection (1) does not authorize an elector to use a
camera, including, but not limited to, a cellular telephone camera,
in a polling booth or voting compartment or to take a photograph of
his or her election ballot.
