A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1173.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 1173. A school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy shall employ or contract for at least 1 school counselor who meets the requirements under section 1233(2) for every 450 pupils enrolled in the school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy to provide services to pupils enrolled in the school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
