Summary

Requiring the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to offer financial literacy training to an inmate who has been sentenced to a term of incarceration in the Division of Correction and who is within 1 year of being released from a correctional facility; specifying the objective and instructional topics of the financial literacy training; and authorizing the Department to consult or collaborate with any public or private agency, entity, or individual in developing the curriculum for the financial literacy training.
