Summary

Specifying that a parent who fails to provide for the support of his or her minor child is guilty of the misdemeanor of criminal nonsupport; repealing from the crime of criminal nonsupport the element of willfulness; establishing a specified defense to the crime of criminal nonsupport; and specifying that a parent who deserts his or her minor child is guilty of the crime of criminal desertion of a child.
