An Act further regulating the issuance of firearm identification cards and licenses to carry firearms.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as fol lows:
 

              SECTION 1.   Chapter 140: Section 129B is hereby amended by adding after Clause 9, the following new clause:-

Clause 9½. Notwithstandi ng the provisions of Clause 9, i f the cardholder is on active duty with the armed forces of the United States, the c ard shall remain valid until the cardholder is released from active duty and for a period of not less than 90 days following said release.

              SECTION 2 Chapter 140: Section 131 is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph of subsection (i), the following new paragraph:-

If the licensee is on active duty with the armed forces of the United States, the license shall remain valid until the licensee is released from active duty and for a period of not less than 90 days following said release.
