An Act amending the enclosure for public and semipublic outdoor
inground swimming pools.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.� Section 206 of chapter 140 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word �link�, in line 5, the following words:- or of similar transparency.
SECTION 2.� Said section 206 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 11, the word �three� and inserting in place thereof the following:- 2 �.
SECTION 3.� The first paragraph of said section 206 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby further amended, by inserting after the third sentence, the following sentence:- An aluminum picket fence, including its gate, used as an enclosure for a public or semipublic outdoor inground swimming pool shall not have footholds, the spacing between vertical pickets, shall not exceed 4 inches including the spacing under the fence or any other opening, and the height of the fence shall not be less than 6 feet.����
