An Act to clarify employer sanctions for improper expenditure of
withholdings or deductions from wages.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section one hundred and fifty C of chapter one hundred and forty nine A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1992 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in line 5 after the words "chapter one hundred and seventy-five" the following words:- or a contract for hospital and medical services pursuant to chapter one hundred and seventy-six A and chapter one hundred and seventy-six B or an agreement for dental services pursuant to chapter one hundred and seventy-six E or an agreement for optometric services pursuant to chapter one hundred and seventy-six F or a health maintenance contract pursuant to chapter one hundred and seventy-six G and,.
SECTION 2. Section one hundred and fifty C of chapter one hundred and
forty-nine A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1992 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by adding the following paragraph as a second paragraph:-
No person shall by a special contract with an employee or by any other means exempt himself from this section. The president and treasurer of a corporation and any officers or agents having the management of such corporation shall be deemed to be a person having employees in his service within the meaning of this section.�������
