An Act relative to campaign finance during special elections.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 55, as appearing in the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting the following new definition after the first definition:-
�Calendar Year�, a calendar year shall mean any year beginning on January 1st and ending December 31st. There shall be a special election exemption for campaign contributions if a special election and a general election occur within the same calendar year.� Contributions may not exceed the defined limits set forth in this chapter, for each election cycle during said calendar year. ��������
