An Act relative to the rights of victims of crimes.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
����������� SECTION 1. Subsection (t) of section 3 of chapter 258B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the phrase �telephone number� the following sentence: -
�The criminal history systems board shall promulgate rules and regulations concerning the content and procedure of the notification.�
SECTION 2. Said Section 3 of chapter 258B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following clause:-
�(w) for any victims, the family members of such victim if the victim is a minor, incompetent or deceased, witnesses and family members of homicide victims who have completed an application for certification with the criminal history systems board, to receive a confirmation letter verifying their certification. The criminal history systems board shall promulgate rules and regulations regulating the content and procedure of the confirmation letters.�
