An Act relative to the interception of wire and oral communications.

��������������� Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

����������� SECTION 1. Chapter 272 � 99, is amended by adding the following new paragraph in subsection D. Exemptions:���

 

 

e.� for any natural person who is not acting on behalf of, or in, an official government position, and who is not a member of, or in any way associated with organized crime, to intercept and secretly tape record a wire communication or oral communication when the recording is done for the sole purpose of protecting one�s life, liberty, character, or property.
