An Act relative to the redemption of beverage containers.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 323 of Chapter 94 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out subsection (c) in its entirety and replacing it with the following:-
(c) Except as provided in paragraph (f), a distributor must accept from any licensed or registered redemption center any empty beverage container of the type, size, and brand sold by the distributor within the past sixty days and must pay the redemption center the refund value of the beverage container plus a handling fee of at least 3.75 cents per container; said handling fee shall be reviewed annually by the appropriate agency which oversees the Bottle Bill law and shall be adjusted accordingly with the consumer price index.
