An Act authorizing the cities and towns of Massachusetts to
authorize real estate tax rebates to qualified property owners.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1.
Any city or town accepting this section is hereby authorized to appropriate monies for and grant property tax rebates in an amount not to exceed $750 annually to persons 65 or older who have lived in their homes for ten years or more and who qualify for a credit on their Massachusetts income tax under the provisions of subsection (K) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws.
