An Act further regulating the appointment of police officers.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out in the last sentence the word “twenty-first” and inserting in place thereof the following word: - “nineteenth.”
SECTION 2. Section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws, is hereby further amended by adding: - “No person shall be eligible for original appointment to the position of police officer in any city or town until that person has reached the age of twenty-one.”
