An Act
Relative to Certain Passengers on Motorcycles.
Be it
enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled,
and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 13 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the sixth sentence the following 2 sentences:-
No child under the age of 5 years and no child weighing 40 pounds or less shall ride as a passenger on a motorcycle with a maximum speed in excess of 30 miles per hour. A violation of the preceding sentence shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25.
