An Act relative to payments in lieu of taxes by the massachusetts port authority.


��������������� Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   The second paragraph of section 17 of chapter 465 of the acts of 1956, added by section 3 of chapter 332 of the acts of 1978, as amended by chapter 498 of the acts of 1980, is hereby further amended by striking in the second sentence the word, �five� and inserting in place thereof the word, �two�.

SECTION 2.� Said sentence of said paragraph is hereby further amended by adding at the end thereof the following: -

�; provided further, that subject to the provisions of this section, no agreement shall be entered into in which the aggregate amount paid to a city or town is less than that which was paid in a prior agreement.�
